This song is unique in its own way as REP tries to make a mark in the less known Indian Band or Music Industry. They started of in the humblest of ways and HARD WORK paid of when they won the prestigious CHANNEL V launchpad. This song My Paper Princess is one of their creations and I hope you all like it. Band of The Week:- "Misery Signals"

Misery Signals is an newish band formed in 2002 and has a different style of presenting music. Its main genre as Justin Falconer,one of the band members, states is Metal core and Progressive Metal.

What is Metalcore?

Its and amalgamation of two super cool genres i.e. hard rock and extreme metal. Metal core was so unique a genre that it could be easily distinguished and had slower & intense passage of conducive moshing.

Misery Signals had one their smash hits named "A CERTAIN DEATH" and I am lucky enough to show all my MUSIC LOVERS this video:-

A picture is worth a thousand words

Music videos range from simply showing the artists playing their instruments to depicting the artist in different avatars. They can pump you up or soothe you down. Ignite your imagination or leave you stunned. They tend to help create a halo around the artist, which helps people perceive their favourite musicians in a glamorous, other worldly light.

Many videos do not feature the band at all but narrate a story through the song or make a point.

The video of Seether’s rock version of George Michael’s Careless Whispers is unique in the way that it is first of all an animated video ( so? What’s new?) and shown in the manner of a 80’s and early 90’s videogame. It has a Dave-like look which is pretty cool. In addition, the video spreads many messages.

It takes a potshot at the recession. The video also promotes reforestation and punishment of those who cut trees (preferably by Ghost Buster-like weapons!!). It touches upon terrorism, swine flu and even has an ET moment. However, the video actually has no connection to the song but it’s still great fun to watch.

Shaun (the lead vocalist) is pretty good. He surely has come a long way from South Africa to setting base at LA. In fact the band is performing right now at Sayerville, New Jersey (USA) and will be performing tomorrow atWest Springfield, Massachusetts (that’s USA again).

The band’s coming up with a new album “Finding beauty in negative spaces” very shortly. The 12 song album is surely something you want to tune into.

Reverrse Polarity is a five piece metal band from Mumbai, India. The band was formed in April ’08 but took off mid-September ‘08. Since then Reverrse Polarity has paved its way in the metal scene gaining recognition and popularity that other bands can only hope to achieve in such a short span of time. Reverrse Polarity is constantly reinventing themselves. The band is in the process of recording and launching its first album. They are working with different artists from the Indian music scene and, like always, want their fans to take all they can from them. These are musicians who represent a common belief. They write about contemporary topics which help them connect to the young generation. The specialty of the band is the subtle Indian touch that they give to all their compositions. Reverrse Polarity will continue to build and extend their chaotic reign. Are you ready to go RED?

IF EVERYONE CARED

Guys and girls out there! I just wanted to give you guys an example of how music can stir millions of young minds and create a revolution. I just came across the video of the song-"if everyone cared" by nickelback and thought I must share it with you guys.The song has an amazing message. It gives hope and inspiration for a change in the society. You see, we have these limitations that we have assumed to be true, but don't you guys think that these limitations are those which we set for ourselves? I mean if we look at those great men and women who revolutionised and brought about a change in the society and fought for a cause,what really differentiates them from the rest is their undying spirit to bring about a change and to fight for justice. It's the self belief and the daring that is lacking in today's youth.

There is no denying the fact that there are groups of young men and women who are contributing to the society but there is an urgent need for all of us to realize that as a part of the society, there is a larger responsibility which we forget and ignore and that my friends is to do away with all those negative elements in our society which hampers the harmony and peace of the world. I know its not an easy task but then how badly you want change?

So check this out and inspire yourself and everyone around you.

Instead of cribbing about everything we must start changing our outlook,our attitude in life..we all need to understand that to see the change,we all need to be a part of the change. A shift in our attitude and focus will be the first and most important step towards creating a planet where everyone is looked after,where everyone enjoys equal rights,where women are given their due respect and equal status and opportunities,where there is love for everyone around,where there is an unfaltering freedom...friends we need to look deep into ourselves..there is so much potential in each one of us..all we need to do is wake up and take this responsibility and use our minds to the maximum potential..Friends i hope i have made my point across to all of you..

Music is a very colorful thread woven into the entire fabric of our lives. Soon after birth we hear our first melodies as our mothers hum soothing lullabies to help us sleep. We learn nursery rhymes that are designed to both entertain and educate us in our preschool years, which help build the framework for the social and language skills we need to function in society.

We're taught music in school, and some of us participate in the school marching band, orchestra, or theater. We sing church hymns to help build our spiritual being, and patriotic songs to give us a sense of national identity. In every step of our lives music places another brick on the foundation of who we are.

Music helps each one of us find our unique social niche, bringing us together with other folks that share similar interests. It documents the history of social and cultural changes in society, and is always in a state of perpetual evolution, combining new ideas with older ones to create a sound that's unique to each generation. Familiar songs help us recall special moments in our lives like our first kiss or first date and many such cherished moments.
